Concrete shed base

How much should one cost to make? I'm thinking 8'x10', or possibly 10'x12'.

Two bulk bags of MOT1 or crushed brick/concrete for the sub-base.Two bulk bags of 20mm ballast (a mix of gravel and sharp sand), plus 7-8 bags of cement. Total cost, somewhere around £200 to £250 plus the cost of any timber used for edging whilst pouring concrete and any equipment hire (whacker plate & cement mixer).Might be worth ringing around for loose loads of MOT1 or crushings, and the same for sand - One bulk bag typically weighs 800Kg, so say 1.5 tonnes each of ballast & MOT1.Also check on the price for ready mix concrete. Mixing that sort of amount by hand in a wheelbarrow is backbreaking work (not much easier with a cement mixer)... Got 2.5 tonnes of sand/gravel turning up tomorrow along with 250Kg of cement for a patio. Really not looking forward to mixing that lot.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

I'm doing something very similar and need about a 20 square metre area. I had a quote for two cubic metres of readymix and it was £300 plus vat. I don't think that's a lot more than buying the bags and mixing myself.1

You might find it easier to use concrete paving slabs. There are plenty of guides available eg https://www.buyshedsdirect.co.uk/blog/post/how-to-build-a-shed-base-with-paving-slabs/1

Depends on what you are doing with the shed, and how big it is (weight and construction of shed).

Thanks for the rapid responses. I can't see it requiring more than 2 cubic metres so the £360 is a useful benchmark for ready-mixed materials.
Purpose: storage - usual shed stuff, nothing too heavy. The shed would be on wooden plinths. I cannot see myself turning my hand to DIY here. What would be a reasonable quote? No man is worth crawling on this earth.
