Reading through further pages on this forum hasn't exactly filled me with hope. Lastminute.con seems to be a fair name for them.
Providing LM covered their fees and charges in the terms & conditions then they may apply.
LM will see the ’Service’ the work they have already done to make and administer your original booking or/and the work required to process a refund if your trip is cancelled. It might not seem fair but you engaged LM to do work for you and they are looking to be paid to do it. The ‘Service’ has either already been provided, or is required now to process the refund.0
