Beamer has redacted it.MistyZ said:I think the strongest argument is that the PPC's debt collectors lie. They have to be regulated.
Completely agree that exploiting the current Covid-19 situation is very good evidence of just how far they will go. Have you contacted ROBG_3 to ask that they redact the letter for their own protection and so that you can use it if they agree? (I couldn't find it).
I may send one of my own as well, which gives the impression that the debt has been assigned (something that they are not suppose to do). I knew it could not be assigned but not everyone would.
There was a number of comments on the consultation (obviously from the PPC's) who are against this regulation.

But they will have to take certain measures and ask the question first. There will be recourse if they don't.D_P_Dance said:I agree, but mentally ill people will still be vulnerable, no matter how regulated PPCs become.

It's been pointed out a couple of times on the thread that he/she hi-jacked that it should be taken down but, so far, no response. Trouble is, as it is a hi-jacked thread, he/she probably hasn't come back to read the replies. I shall send a PM now.MistyZ said:Completely agree that exploiting the current Covid-19 situation is very good evidence of just how far they will go. That is human nature, people are even scamming cladding victims for ££££sYou never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
It is indeed the nature of some humans as are numerous other exploitative behaviours. However in this instance Snakes_Belly wants to write a letter to her MP and Robert Jenrick and to provide an example of just how low the debt collectors are prepared to go.D_P_Dance said:Completely agree that exploiting the current Covid-19 situation is very good evidence of just how far they will go

I don't see how a reminder that such actions are 'human nature' helps here. We all know that already.

If they are regulated then there will be a recourse. The parking operator's numerous negative comments on the CoP tried to circumvent the regulation by the FCA of the collection agents.MistyZ said:

All this will be noticed I am sure. We have to trust that the MHCLG and Ministers are aiming to do the right thing.
I have sent a copy of that letter to the right people myself and have reported it to the IPC as well, for what it's worth.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

According to their Code of Practice the PPC's are suppose to be responsible for the actions of their agents.

The IPC and BPA are nothing more than a hiding place for rogue traders.
We know the IPC/IAS is a mickey mouse set up and an ATA designed only to attract scammers and waiting in the wings is the incompetent Gladstones. There is no room or need for such cowboys
The BPA is now very close to the IPC and POPLA is a complete dodo
With a new government code, where do we complain to about the rogue traders and the ATA's ??1
