EC261/2004 is a regulation that airlines must follow. Kiwi.com is not an airline and is not bound by it.wjkharris said:
As per EC Regulation 261/2004, it is a legal requirement If my flight is cancelled, I have the legal right to either: a refund - including other flights from the airline that I won't use in the same booking such as onward or return flights or an alternative replacement flight to get me to my destination.Westin said:“...they were clearly breaking EU law here.”
Which EU law do you believe they are breaking?
Ukraine International must provide you with a refund or rerouting for the cancelled Armenia-Ukraine flight. It seems they have done this and therefore fulfilled their obligation to you.
Ryanair have no obligation to you as their flight is unaffected. Kiwi.com have no obligation to you under EC261 as they are just a booking agent.

your Ukraine Airlines flights and Ryanair flights are not in the same booking, they are separate contracts. (Kiwi are well known for cobbling together separate flights) The cancellation of one does not affect the other flight. You are entitled to a refund for the cancelled flights and those on the same booking only. (if your outbound and return Ukraine flights were on the same booking then the cancellation of one leg entitles you to a refund of both) If the Ryanair flights are not cancelled then there is no requirement for a refund.wjkharris said:As per EC Regulation 261/2004, it is a legal requirement If my flight is cancelled, I have the legal right to either: a refund - including other flights from the airline that I won't use in the same booking such as onward or return flights or an alternative replacement flight to get me to my destination.

The regulation applies to an airline, not a booking agent.
In addition it does not apply to a flight outside of the EU on a non-EU carrier (Ukraine Airlines between Ukraine to Armenia).0 -
It doesn't, but Ukraine's aviation law virtually mirrors EU law. (in Ukrainian, please translate at your leisure)Westin said:wjkharris said:

UIA therefore in this case have a legal duty to refund.💙💛 💔0 -
Ukrainian Airlines will refund or move the flight, the OP issue is that they want Kiwi to change the RyanAir flight to match the rescheduling of the Ukrainian flight. The ‘Kiwi Guarantee’ is the only recourse - if they are prepared to work with the OP to do this. There is no EU regulation broken by RyanAir or Kiwi. The Ryan Air flight is separate from the Ukrainian one.0

and the issue is that the Ukrainian fight operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays and the Ryanair flight on Mondays and Fridays....so they either have a minimum of 2 nights in Ukraine or they need to book alternate flights (or not travel)Westin said:the OP issue is that they want Kiwi to change the RyanAir flight to match the rescheduling of the Ukrainian flight0 -
See my Belavia post above, they're the only airline operating in at the moment daily as far as I'm aware.Caz3121 said:

You have a flight to KBP, B2 fly to KBP, this is likely the most convenient option given what you have already.💙💛 💔0
