Software for youtube

I want to create English lessons for Arabic speakers on YouTube.  I was going to use google slides, but can you do a voice over on the slides so you can publish on to YouTube.
i was also looking at perhaps animation.  Is there any free software which is suitable for this?

You can but you would have to use a video editing program to put them together.

Most of them work on a timeline basis, so you record your "video" (which is basically your slides "playing" / changing every x seconds) and you can record some audio to do with it, then stick them on the timeline, export that and then upload to YouTube.

Re: Animation - Slides may provide some basic animation but realistically if you want anything more complicated than "move this object to somewhere else on the screen" then you may have to look at something else depending on what you want to do.

This may be easier.

or the way I suggested:

You can play the slides, use a screen recorder software, then just talk into Audacity, then use the above software to "stick" them together.  This will be more powerful, but is more of a PITA to get right.
