The only concern I had was that owners cars are not fitted with dual controls if after a test drive I thought they were safe and competent enough I would occasionally agree to the pupil using their own car especially if it was getting near to their test and they wanted to use theirs for the test and also if doing a Pass Plus course, I always checked that the car was insured for them to drive, there were no reasons why an instructor could not do it.Grumpy_chap said:I suspect that instructors will be reluctant to teach you in your own car.
