Electric Car
I've just been switched to an all electric company car, so no company car tax, problem is, as I work on the road my company tell me I can't claim business miles for work, they/HR tell me, that as I'm paying no tax on the car, that i have to pay for the electric for company business miles?,,is this correct or can I claim

They can reimburse you, you have to pay tax on this, you can claim tax relief.

If you have an electric company car, you can be reimbursed for fuel / energy costs in line with the Advisory Fuel Rates for Company Car Users:

"The advisory electricity rate for fully electric cars is 4 pence per mile."
You cannot claim if the employer allows you to charge at the workplace and / or provides for the cost of public charging - in either case you would be double-claiming.
If the employer does not pay you the 4 pence per mile, you can claim the amount back against your tax return, so gaining relief depending upon your income tax band (usually 20% or 40%).1
