Bent jacking flange

Options
My nephew manage to muck up jacking his car. Now the flange is bent and warped out of straight, looks pretty ugly. It's an oldish car and taking it to get sorted would probably be worth more than the car. Any suggestions on fixing it DIY neatly?

Mole grips and/or a big hammer?
  • May need heat applied and judicious use with a knocking implement.

    What did he do?

If he has just bent it its fairly simple, if it is stretched badly then cutting excess out and welding back together would be the easiest option to get it straight

Are you able to post a photo of the damage so we can advise the best method of repair.

Once repaired it is likely to need some sort of paint coating to stop it rusting. For underneath some stone chip paint is likely to do the job.
