I'm still getting the occasional odd buyer.
yesterday afternoon someone bought a £30 item from me and less than 10 minutes later I get a request to cancel the sale as they never meant to buy and pay for it, it as a mistake. I cancelled the sale, issued a refund and as is my norm I blocked them as this cost me over £1 in fees.
This morning I wake up to a message on the same item 'Hi, I have been looking for this for ages and have tried to buy it but it says seller is not taking bids at the moment- please sort this out as I need it posted ASAP, thanks'.
So from yesterday afternoon, to sometime over night this person has completely forgotten that they have already bought and cancelled it from me- and now want it again!

I'd double the price and let them buy if they want.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0

I had actually thought about putting my price up as I checked out what others were for sale on eBay and There’s only about 3 others and I ‘m currently the cheapest . However, I’m nervous they will just buy and cancel again and cost me even more fees.I'd double the price and let them buy if they want.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Crazy people continue in their craziness. I think you've done the right thing blocking them and I would wait to sell this item to someone more sensible.

Crazy people indeed.
Yesterday afternoon I listed a computer for sale for spares and repair. I set the listing to start at about 22:00. I switched off my computer at about 19:00 and didn't log onto eBay again until this morning at about 11:20.
I had two messages from the same user id.
Sent at 23:00 last night:Hello mate, how much for this buy it now if you are happy to sell it ? And are all the pieces there apart from from what you mentioned, to basically put it back to work ? Reckon it will work again? I like to play some games but my budget is as sad as the lockdown days!!! Let me know please. Thank you.Sent at 9:00 this morning:
You offer no reply ? Good luck with your sale man. Unwatched.I won't bother to respond to either message and that user is now on my blocked buyer list. If he/she is so impatient and irrational I can foresee nothing but trouble.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
I love the 'instant response required' type of messages, we get them on here as well with snarky 'so is no one going to bother helping me then?' 5 minutes after they first posted, and also on Facebook where people seem to expect you will respond at any time of day or night. Soolin, I'm curious to have a look at this user's history on eBay to see how big a bullet I might have dodged so I started a thread asking how to trace him.

Years ago I could find a specific user id on eBay via 'Community'.
That facility appears to have disappeared.
How can I find a specific user id now?
I have tried advanced search but that produces nothing as the user has no items for sale listed.

I know you have found a way, but the way I do it is to go via Goofbid and then via ebay feedback checkerBelenus said:Soolin, I'm curious to have a look at this user's history on eBay to see how big a bullet I might have dodged so I started a thread asking how to trace him.
