Does anyone know of such a thing, it's for the hanging of a christmas wreath ?
Last year the hook i bought was completely unsuitable as just not strong enough for a fresh wreath and the hook part wasn't wide enough or crafted right for a upvc front door.
If someone could give me a suggestion who sells these i'd be most grateful

I would have thought it would damage the seal round the door frame.
It doesn't sound like a good idea to me.1 -
We've used one for years that I bought at Lakeland - no damage to the door seal so far.

I've not even found one that actually fits the size let alone see how it 'sits', i'll report back if i find a suitable one.0 -

....having just found one on their site i can confirm it's not going to fit a uPVC front door.
It's the same type as i bought last year and it's not wide enough to hang on one.
The search continues.0 -
Hmmm, looks like i'll be doing the DIY/ribbon thing again this year
There's not a suitable hook made - certainly not what i have in my mind.
What i would make/patent would be a hook that looks like the standard ones but be modified like this:
*Made of tougher metal.
*That was thinner over the top of the door (so that it wouldn't interfere with the seal/locking mechanisms).
*Had a long, thicker, back of door section (to counter balance the heavy item hung at front, standard ones just bend under the weight of my wreaths)
*And have a strong body (to hold the thick, heavy, item.
Yes it would obviously be dearer but at least it would be man enough for the job.
What i want hasn't even been made yet - which is the story of my life
