Boiler pressure dropping

Hi all. We have an Ideal Logic + combi boiler and we've had issues in the past where the pressure has dropped meaning that we don't get any hot water. It's easy enough to fix by opening up a couple of the taps but it was a bit inconvenient. Over the summer, we didn't have to do it so much but now I'm having to do it every day. Any ideas what's going on? I'll get a heating engineer out if I need to but if there's something I can do that would be great. Thanks for reading.

Internal leak on the main hex, logics are renowned for this
prv passing, tie a plastic bag over the pipe that sticks out the wall & see if you get water in it
leak on the heating system, check pipes & valves for any weepsI'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
Thanks for this. So if water does appear in the bag, I'm assuming this isn't something I can fix myself but need a heating engineer right?southcoastrgi said:Internal leak on the main hex, logics are renowned for this

A leak is most likely. I had a leak in an old house of mine, I was topping the boiler up most days before discovering a radiator was weeping into the floor below, never wet enough to show until it made a wet patch on the ceiling below. Check all your pipes and ceilings for any wetness.0

Note the system pressure when cold (after you've topped it up - presumably around 1 bar?) and then record what happens when you turn on your CH. Monitor it for a good 15 minutes until rads a fully hot.
