Talktalk replacing entertainment boost with now tv

I renewed my contract with Talktalk in August, on the basis of landline, faster fibre and the entertainment boost which gave me the channels I wanted to view and the ability to record those channels. Yesterday I received an email stating that from next year the entertainment boost will be withdrawn and if you wish you can replace it with now tv which doesn't provide all of the channels I currently have and doesn't allow you to record those channels. I am really unhappy with this but not sure if the TV forms part of the core contract although I made it clear when I took out the contract that I did not want NOW TV which at the time was an option. How do I stand with cancelling the contract now that i am two months in and they have changed the package?

TV usually not part of the core but an add on .
You need to speak to TT first .
Also check TV contract end dates .
Its the same BT have moved stuff to now TV .
  • The difference with BT is that you can record the NOW tv stuff which you can't with TalkTalk. However having looked at the options I think I may go down the route of keeping the landline, fibre with TalkTalk and cancelling the TV and taking just the TV with sky which would give me what I am losing with Talk Talk. I can't help wondering if other TalkTalk customers realise they will lose the recording facility.
