Someone opened a catalogue account in my name and has defaulted

hi, wonder if anyone has any advice? I just checked my credit score with Clear Score for the first time with a view of getting a mortgage in the next 12 months. Although the score is pretty good I noticed that the only thing bringing it down was a default on an account. Apparently a Next Directory account was opened from an address that I used to live at, over a year after I left that property! This cretin has then defaulted on a payment of £167. Fortunately this seems to be the only occasion and there was no more action after April 2019. I can of course prove that I wasn’t living there at that time through electoral role etc, I don’t even live in the same county anymore. Anyway I need to know how to get this removed from my credit rating as it’s not fair that this could jeopardise my chances of getting a mortgage...any help would be gratefully received 😊

Report it to Action Fraud and dispute it with the lender.
Check your other files to see where else it appears. Don't worry about the scores as they're not real credit scores - you're just looking for accuracy of data.0
