Environmentally friendly banks

Having watched David Attenborough's latest film, I'm wanting to switch away from HSBC (who are finding fossil fuel companies) to a more environmentally friendly bank.
Can anyone recommend any eco-friendly banks to switch to please? 
How do you know if a bank is genuinely ethical?

I guess the OP doesn't know what 'greenfingered' means, and they're not the first. It's a daft title for a forum when, say, something like 'Gardening and Smallholding' was available.

What they really want is the green and 'effical forum, because we gardeners aren't always 'effical, and some of us aren't so green either!
