Is this boiler sufficient

I am having boxt install a boiler on monday and it chose the most appropriate one for my needs based on me having 3 bedrooms, one bathtub and 2 electric showers.
However im a bit concerned it wont be enough when i add a radiator to the garage conversion and eventual extension downstairs. There would be no more bathrooms or anything and in total there would be 10 radiators, a couple of them only small ones like the toilet and bathroom and a couple of them doubles.
Will a 24kw worcester greenstar 30i boiler be enough for that do you think as thats what i choose based on reccomendation.

For heating 10 rads I'm sure it will be fine. However the boiler should also be sized based on your cold water flow rate. Did they do a cold water flow check before suggesting that size of boiler? That boiler can heat 12.3 litres per minute.0

They asked how fast cold water flowed from the taps either fast medium or slow and the answer is fast.daveyjp said:For heating 10 rads I'm sure it will be fine. However the boiler should also be sized based on your cold water flow rate so you get decent flow of hot water. 24kW will be fine. We've just had a 24kW boiler installed last year and we have 10 radiators in five bedrooms in an old Victorian end-terrace house with a loft conversion. When I did the calculations for the heat loss, it came out as 19kW; as the model below was rated at 18kW, the heating engineer recommend going to 24kW.
As you have electric showers, you don't need a bigger boiler than this. 24kW is fine for domestic hot water if it is just to run a bath or to fill a hand basin/sink. The Worcester Greenstar is one of the better boilers you might of bought, so relax and look forward to your new boiler. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0 -
"They asked how fast cold water flowed from the taps either fast medium or slow..." these guys are professionals :-)
I had to look up what the actual output for that boiler was - I mean, a 24kW '30i'?! What the? It seems it can deliver 24kW towards heating yer rads - plenty - and a nice 30kW for your hot water - again, nice. The latter will give you a really good shower should you wish to change to 'thermostatic' from 'electric' in the future - you won't believe the difference :-)
Based on what you've said that boiler will be fine, and it's a good make. I can't see any reason to go larger.0 -
