Car insurance proof of address not being accepted

    Glad it's sorted but I concur with MF, Admiral are about as far from "dodgy" as it gets.

    Admiral are not a dodgy insurance company, if anything something has triggered them to check your address; doing searches at different addresses on comparison sites, not being able to electronically verify you or something else.

    Better it was done now, than later if you have to claim.
    Fair enough, maybe it was just bad luck then. I haven't done any searches using different addresses. I've had the same car at the same address for 4 years, spent the last 3 years with direct line but ran a price comparison every year to see if anyone could beat it. No points on any of the drivers licenses, no denied insurance, no claims, as clean as you could get really. Must have just been a random spot check and I've fallen through the gap in their requirements. Hopefully it's all resolved now, thank you to everyone for your comments :smile:
