Fair enough, maybe it was just bad luck then. I haven't done any searches using different addresses. I've had the same car at the same address for 4 years, spent the last 3 years with direct line but ran a price comparison every year to see if anyone could beat it. No points on any of the drivers licenses, no denied insurance, no claims, as clean as you could get really. Must have just been a random spot check and I've fallen through the gap in their requirements. Better it was done now, than later if you have to claim.
