Selling properties in Cyprus

Hi
Following a recent death in the family, I've come into some property located in Cyprus. The solicitor handling the matter has suggested looking into the expat market over here to help maximise the chances of selling the properties. Are there any agencies or websites specialising in this that would be recommended? Preferably ones that don't charge too dear a fee.

I would have thought one of the international companies in Cyprus would be better placed and would also reach the ex-pat market (The fact they are expat surely means they aren't in the UK anymore!?!)
Rightmove has an international side, sunseekers I came across a lot when I was looking in Cyprus. Is it North or South? Either way you need firstly to make sure all paperwork is in order, due to the invasion in 74 and displacement often the paperwork isn't in order regarding ownership.1 -
If it is a relatively new build get in touch with the builders. My SIL did this and they took on the selling of the property, for a fee of course.1

Thanks for the advice. It's on the Greek side of the island rather than the Turkish one so hopefully the paperwork will be relatively simple to sort, as deeds to everything are in place. It's mostly undeveloped land and one older house.0

Be a bit careful about choosing websites for selling overseas properties - some of them are verging on scams.
The websites might look pretty - but the fact that you're a prospective seller and asking here means that you don't know that the websites exist. Which probably means that prospective buyers don't know they exist either.
Also, I'm not convinced that using a UK company to sell a property in Cyprus makes sense. I'm in the UK, but if I wanted to buy a property in Cyprus, I would probably start by looking for agents based in Cyprus.
Looking at it another way - if I wanted to sell a property that's in the UK, I wouldn't consider marketing it through an agent in Cyprus.

As long as the deeds stack up thats fine, but a lot of Turkish Cypriots owned property in the south pre 1974 so make sure that whoever was the owner in 1974 and prior is also still the owner you are inheriting from or they bought from them.Vertig0 said:Thanks for the advice. https://www.buysellcyprus.com/ is one of the best known ones, we've had a Cyprus villa for about 12 years now, and every few months I go on this site to check out the prices.
