Friday is the busiest completion day and takes priority over transactions which are not so far advanced. Now that you've told the solicitor to go ahead and are willing to sign a disclaimer, fingers crossed it will proceed again shortly.kestrelskies said:

It must be something the vendor has put on one of the forms which has spooked the conveyancer, otherwise how on earth would they know about the lack of fence/slope/maintenance?0
