EDF - My Account: Balance

A question for anyone who uses the EDF online My Account: can anyone find where to view the current account balance? It used to be in a prominent place on the Home page. The My Account portal was redesigned a couple of months ago and the account balance page seems to have vanished. I can't find it anywhere. Given its an important feature I can't believe it has been removed. Or has it?

    Sorry, access to My Account is limited It's only available for smart Pay As You Go top-ups while we update our system. Full access should be back after 10:00, 18th October 2020 10:00 AM BST 18th October, 2020

    Thanks for your reply. My Account is working again. The account balance part of the Home page was removed a couple of months ago*. The unavailability of My Account overnight was probably just routine maintenance. That always seems to be done overnight on a weekend.
    * I have a payment plan in place. I don't think that should affect my ability to see an account balance on screen but the onscreen balance vanished around the same time my payment plan was set up.

    The EDF app hasn't shown the account balance for a while now, it only shows the monthly direct debit amount. I have raised this as feed back to EDF, along with other issues relating to the app. To be honest the app has become pointless, it provides no useful information. Even my tariff details in the info section were wrong! I did suggest in my feedback that they look to Powershop for an example of how to do an app, not sure they would appreciate that!

    I've just downloaded the app to my moble phone (I had previously been accessing My Account on my computer) and the "Welcome" screens that display when first using the app state you can check your account balance. But yes, there's no balance displaying. Indeed, as you've posted, the app is pointless as it provides no useful information. I may as well uninstall it.

    Well it looks like they listened to my feedback! There was another update to the app this week and the balance has returned!

    I love how the updated app says it has "added some handy new features". Restoring the handy old features would be a more apt description. It's still a missing feature on the desktop computer website  version though, or at least is on mine.
