Switch2 Query

My second property was vacated by the sole tenant as lockdown hit. They left to go back to the middle east due to lockdown, having not paid their final bill. Switch2 have emailed me asking for the outstanding balance (just over £100). Am I legally required to pay this considering bills were not included in my tenant's rent?

As long as the bill was previously in your tenant's name then no.
If the bill was in your name and you were recharging them then yes.
... but check your agreement with Switch2 as this is a community heating scheme I assume?
So the agreement to pay is probably between you and the freeholder, right?
