Help ive been done by shill bidding

Can someone please help.

I bid on an item this morning and another bidder with -ve feedback outbid my maximum amount. The seller then cancelled their bid hours later using the reason that the buyer had negative feedback..... 1 minute later a newly registered user bid upto my amount but did not bid over it. this also happend within the last 12 hours so i couldnt retract me bid.

The problem was that when i was outbid, i bid on another item from the same seller... the same thing has happended again and now i am winning both auctions.... i have tried to contact the seller to cancel my bids telling them that i dont want both items but they will not..

i have tried to report them to ebay but i can find the right section..

i dont want both items as they are the same thing, but it looks like i am gonna get them both

can someone please help me

To retract a bid, use the Bid Retraction form.

Just retract one of the bids

    Report them here

I would if you think its shilling bidding retract both bids and look elsewhere IMHO

Here's some info on shill bidding.

I've reported someone for shill bidding before, tell them the item no's and an account of exactly whats happened.

Select: ask about bidding or buying - problems with sellers - i think a seller is shill bidding on own items

on the next screen click email (if not logged in you'll be asked to) and you can fill out a report.
:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:

This why it's always best to bid late, and bid your max - if you won't be home when the item is finishing, use sniping software (most have a few free trials, try a search on google or ask other posters for recs)

Shill bidders are a pain, and if you can't report them, thwart them with sniping.

Like others have said if you suspect shill bidding then *always* report the users to ebay. They can investigate and remove the offending ids if they agree.

The last few discussed on this board and reported have been removed quite quickly.

Meanwhile email the seller and say you want him to withdraw your bid as you cannot do this in the last 12 hours. If he doesn't just refuse to pay, yes he can neg you and go through the NPB process but if he really is shill bidding ebay will have NARUd his account before it goes that far.

Thanks Guys for all your help

I have reported them to ebay including all their recent auctions as it seems that the person with -ve feedback bids on all the items but the seller only cancels their highest bid, once they have found out the maximum bid.

Luckily i was out bid on both items at the last minute by another bidder and i didnt re-bid on items that maybe could have gone for a little cheaper.
