Can I leave dahlia bishop of LLandaff in the ground?

I only planted it out a month ago  and not sure if dahlia bishop of Llandaff is hardy in SE.
Advice, from experts, would be gratefully received. thanks

It used to be rule of thumb lift and store them. Nowadays with changes in the climate, Southern areas are usually fine and Winters not so harsh, Northern areas lately have not been as harsh either, more a short burst of bad cold weather rather than prolonged cold. I'm up in Northumberland and take my chances in leaving them in the ground, been ok last few years.

That is what I was hoping to hear, as I haven't  room in the house(no greenhouse) to store all fuchias, pelargoniums, agapanthus, cannas, etc. I will bring in begonia tubers and gladioli corms and store them in the porch and leave the rest in situ.

I always leave my dahlias in the ground [Hampshire], survived for years. I suspect prolonged wet boggy soil would do for them
If you have any chuck some compost / muck over them, they'll love it anyway plus it'll give a bit more frost proofing
