Ford/AA
Options
Hi, we have a 2018 motorhome on a Ford transit which would not start. We tried to start it using jump leads but had no joy and rang the AA. They came out and tried to start it using with leads but no joy and so the operative tried again using both the jump leads and a booster pack, this got the engine going briefly but when he turned the engine off and tried it to turn it over again, it would not start. He called a recovery vehicle to transport it to the Ford commercial garage. They checked it over and found the both the BCM and PCM had spiked and had to be replaced at a cost to us of £880. Ford advised that it was probably due to incorrect jump starting.
I contacted the AA complaints department and they basically told me to go and get a solicitor, I found their attitude not at all helpful.

So you used jump leads, and it wouldn't start. The AA man used jump leads, and it started.Which one do you imagine was incorrect?

What evidence do you have to prove that it was the AA and not your who caused the damage to your vehicle?1
