Redundancy Notice Period and Holiday Pay

Options
Good Afternoon, I'm hoping someone could shed some light on my questions.
1) According to Gov.uk I should get a weeks notice for every year over two years with the company, so I have been there for 3 Years, so 3 weeks.  We have been told that if made redundant, then our employment ends on 31st October, this was a general memo to all staff and not official notice addressed to staff.  I am expecting to officially be told tomorrow (15th Oct) that I will be made redundant, does my notice period start from tomorrow or from when I had my first consultation which was on the 9th Oct?  It is worth noting I have been on furlough since March and I was advised in a letter that my role was 'At Risk' in June.

2) Our Holiday period is from 1st January - 31st December.  If my employment ends on 31st October, would the pay out include the full year which comes to 145hrs, or will it be reduced as my employment would end on 31st Oct.

3) As part of agreements with unions, some of our leave/holiday pay was used to cover furlough scheme in the months of August, September and October. However August and September payslips did not show any holiday pay. However my online portal shows leave being used (approx 49 hrs). Should I be worried that this would not be paid out in my redundancy settlement. I'm aware I may need to contact HR regarding this issue.

Thank You in advance.

If holiday was used during furlough you should have had full pay for any period of holiday.

Holiday accrual is prora for the holiday year upto date of termination.

Notice start the date you are given notice you will be terminated.
That period can be a mix of work, holiday, garden leave, PILON.
It may need to all be paid at full pay rate.
  • Whilst on furlough for August, September and October, it was agreed with unions that our leave would be used to cover some of the cost to keep us on furlough, which explains why the said hours were deducted.
Had my other questions resolved today.
    Thank You.
