Limp mode Corsa D 1.3tdi

Hi my Corsa has been going into limp mode at around 2500 rpm I ran basic diagnostics and came back with P0403 (exhaust gas recirculation circuit malfunction) and P0400 (exhaust gas recirculation flow malfunction). Does that mean new EGR Valve or is there something else I should check first? Most of the time there’s no Engine Management Light but it does sometimes come on. Thanks in advance!

Would take a look at the EGR and give it a good clean. Won't harm to do so. 

A friend had one of these. She did barely any miles so the DPF ended up clogging. Constantly had bother after that and traded it in for a petrol.

As the EGR valve is the exhaust gas recirculation part then I would indeed change that first and see if it clears the fault.

I'd take it off first and see how gunked up it looked and clean it regardless. Costs a few quid for a squirty can or a bit less for a bit of fuel and an old toothbrush. 

Any changing and further cost would be later for me.

Up to you, I had mine changed and it sorted the issue out, yeah I could of cleaned it out and hoped for the best but I didn't want to mess about twice as didn't have the spare time....shame as I had lots during being furloughed!

Now its back to getting decent MPG and no EML.
