I see that First Direct are no longer offering 0% on their credit cards for balance transfers, but are now offering 4.9% to new customers.

Mr Smartsaver was told this when he tried to renew his 0% deal with them. But wait a while and I am sure a new deal will be forth coming....

Aaargh. Just when I was going to try for my 3rd card with them. £25k and it didn't even show up on the CRAs. Losing that will make a big dent in my stoozing. O well.

Just had a thought on this (I know, it's been a long time coming), but HSBC are still doing 0% 6 months on BT/purchases.

As they are part of the same group they may be willing to give good credit limits to FD customers looking to switch cards. I'll try it next month.

I was on the phone to Marbles last night cancelling my card and they told me thats hsbc/marbles/f.d are going to charge a bt fee starting from next month. Mind you she could have told me that because she was trying to flog me a balance for life card.
