Is it just me or do Barclaycard suddenly seem to mark nearly every single transaction as potentially fraudulent until you reply to their text with a Y!
The other week, a simple McDonalds transaction triggered it
But more annoyingly last night an Amazon transaction triggered it, meaning my payment got declined from the Amazon side of things and as a result the kind offer of Amazon offering the 5 monthly payments for an item went straight out of the window!!!
Obviously I've eaten at McDonalds before and I've shopped at Amazon before (several times) so not sure why they seem so keen on declining the transactions to go through all of a sudden when I've also held the card for at least 10 years

The Amazon one may have been triggered due to it being Amazon Day and lots of people using their Barclaycard to pay for items so there fraud prevention system kicked in because it noticed this.I guess the Mcdonalds one could be there way of saying you eat to many of them...... lol Just kidding.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
Was the card transaction to McDonald’s made physically in their restaurant at the till point? Or was the transaction made via their app or a delivery partner like Uber Eats?0
