Morning all
Tru how lovely to see you I am glad all is well in your world xxx
Nice bright day here and for once no rain due today !! I have the washing in the machine and will hang it out it should dry well today.
I am still waiting for my jar lids to arrive from lakeland its been about 10 days now, yesterday I contacted them via online chat and asked where they were, the lady looked into it and said oh they are out of stock so you wont be getting them but we have somehow charged you for postage !! I was blooming cross as I have had no email teling me they were OOS and I have been waiting for them to arrive, she was very appologetic and refunded me postage but its not really what you expect from lakeland, I have now ordered from amazon and they will arrive tomorrow. So today I shall start on my picalilli and bottle it tomorrow.
Also today will be dog walking and a quick bit of housework, I have got chicken breasts out for dinner so need to think of something to make them into.
Have good days all xx11 -

Morning all.
Nice to see you tru. I was wondering about our Christmas carols this year. Do you think you will be able to manage them? I can echo AOD's suggestion about battery hens rescue. My neighbour used to have them and it was so rewarding. I remember seeing them let out of their travelling cage and seeing their wonderment at seeing the outside world. One spread herself out on the ground and closed her eyes. She looked like a sunbather on the beach. Most of them had no feathers and I used to knit them vests to wear until their feathers grew. They were prolific layers too.
dumpling, I hope you enjoy your walks, even if it is just round the carpark. I bet you are looking forward to going to you sister's on Sunday. That will be a real event.
I don't have any exciting plans for today. I have to track down some large envelopes to send some papers off. If the village shop can't oblige I'll have to brave the bus into town.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY

Things were created to be used.
The reason why the world is in such chaos, is because things are being loved and people are being used. (John Green)I believe that friends are quiet angels

Morning
Gorgeous day here looks warm enough to sit out but its probably deceptive
Good to see tru back with Tales of Scamp
Plans today are to clean the dining room. Yesterday I had to change 3 lightbulbs in there which all blew at the same time. Note to self dead legs and step ladders are not a great combination fortunately a few extra lockdown pounds means I now bounce. Bit achey but no permanent damage. Anyway today is drawer clean out and hopefully drawer declutter. Something tells me I will find another few hundred pens and then there is the dreaded cable drawer. Is it it just me who keeps every cable just in case? Just in case I ever remember what its for that is.
Had a message from my American friend yesterday saying she was coming to see me ....apparently Trump has said he is lifting all travel bans and she could fly to london, cab to euston then train and cab up here ! No was the simple answer. First of all you live in the worlds worst country for covid then you will be on all the worst ways to travel to get here then of course you would have to quarantine for 2 weeks (assuming we let you in) then as we are likely to go to tier 3 very soon there is nothing open nowhere to go.....I was gentle saying all that but difference between how the states is managing this and the way we are is huge say what you like about Boris but rather him than Trump!
Right best crack on have a good day all13 -
Morning all. It's mainly cloudy with intermittent sun, but it is quite breezy so the wm is on with a load of clothes. Hopefully it will line dry before we get any showers. My plans today include cleaning the cooker, I would love a professional to do it but I'm tight with my money
, so elbow grease and mr muscle will have to do for now. ( MSE content ). For me cleaning the cooker is on a par with the dreaded ironing..... I loathe both jobs. I'll wipe down the worktops and the white goods in the kitchen too.
This afternoon I will try to sort out my shopping list, I've had Dad's so when I get my act together I will order them for a joint delivery. I also have some carrots to peel, chop bag and freeze before they become bendy. If the mood takes me I can always play couturier and make more doll's clothes, at this rate she will have the most designer attire in WalesTea tonight - I don't know yet, it will be a freezer dive later.
Tru lovely to "see" you. Congrats on the new addition to the family. Glad to note Scampi is still going strong.Hugs to all the poorly onesTake care, stay safe and keep well.nan xx

Morning all! Sunny at the moment so that's good. Having a delayed reaction to putting the slabs down so I'm creaky like a horror movie door today. No matter, only the sides to finish and then it's done and that will only involve a sewing machine and a [it had better be] steady hand with the cutting. After that, I can content myself with going through the house like a dose of salts in the next few weeks so that it can be clean and relatively empty for the winter. I can't wait to put my newly learned skills into action.I have aproject I accepted to design a logo for someone, only trouble is, I cannot draw cartoons and the images I've been given to work with are quite blurred, my graphics card won't cope with a certain filter and keeps shutting the program down so I've got to come up with a way to make a blurry picture a cartoon without losing any of the cuteness. I despise myself sometimes for agreeing to things I know people without a clue think is a piece of pee, but i know is going to be damn difficult. At least sitting in front of a computer isn't strenuous. And I expect I'll find a way.Tru, good to see you! Can you change the appearance of the graphics, like a dark mode? Wow, you have also been up to a lot and yes, december without tru would be less fun. TA,glad you had a good day yesterday. Rosy, happy hair cut day! Gers, glad the birthday went off well. Dumpling, happy car park walking and have a nice time at your sisters. Monna, can never forget Pratchetts description of them running like twanging knicker elastic because if you've ever had a few chickens running towards you because you have something they think is going to be tasty you can see exactly what he meant. When we had them before, the longer we had them, the more we saw them as tiny dinosaurs...Anyway, i waffle again. Hey all reading along, hope you're all doing well, 'ware the Wednesday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi11
