Just to say that generally animal rescues do not want feather filled bedding- especially for dogs. Just imagine the mess that might be created by a dog ripping or chewing up their bedding!!
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

You could just buy a pair of cotton ticking pillow cases - ticking is the traditional fabric used to enclose feathers or down bedding and various places sell them. When I clean my hairbrushes, or the stiff brush I use to brush our sheepskin rugs wth weekly, I always take the hair and fleece-fluff outside and tuck it into the dense shrubbery our flats' communal bins are near, which has thousands of sparrows in it.
