Just to say that generally animal rescues do not want feather filled bedding- especially for dogs. Just imagine the mess that might be created by a dog ripping  or chewing up their bedding!!

You could just buy a pair of cotton ticking pillow cases - ticking is the traditional fabric used to enclose feathers or down bedding and various places sell them. It is a very close-weave fabric that stops the escapees from poking through

When I clean my hairbrushes, or the stiff brush I use to brush our sheepskin rugs wth weekly, I always take the hair and fleece-fluff outside and tuck it into the dense shrubbery our flats' communal bins are near, which has thousands of sparrows in it. It's never there the next day, no matter what time of year!
