Side 'headboard' for bed against outside wall?

There is a trundle bed in my kids room as it's a small house and saves a lot of space. The only place to put it is against the outside wall which feels very cold during winter especially as the heating reaches that room last (we do lower the heating in our room as it gets too hot but too cold in their room which helps).
Placing a blanket along the wallside doesn't feel enough. Is there some sort of headboard that goes along the side length of the single bed? I don't want to attach anything to the wall as we rent. I'm no good at DIY projects either.
Any other ideas?

I think you'd have to make it or get it made. What about panelling? You could do that and put some insulation behind it. Seems like everyone's making panelling on instagram.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Agree with @Doozergirl , panelling and insulation is what i'd choose.0

A double bed headboard would work although putting anything against a cold outer wall may create mold.1

You should perhaps re-balance the radiators, so that all the rooms heat up at a similar rate.0

You could also rig up a tent-like canopy to keep the bed warmer - just like the old four-poster/canopy beds of yesteryear. Make it a den...kids love that stuff!1
