Nationwide refer a friend after 6 April

Nationwide stopped the refer a friend offer on 6 April. I already had a referral email, but my friend hadn't opened an account yet. I messaged customer service, and they told me that if he hasn't applied yet I can't get the offer, even though I had the referral email already. Did anyone try applying after the deadline, and if yes did you get the £100? Thanks

Yes but as you had to do it within 90 days of getting the email you can't do it now

Yes but as you had to do it within 90 days of getting the email you can't do it now

But I can complain that I was given false information.

That even if I already had referral email, if my friend applies after April 6 we won't get the referral bonus.

this post makes no sense. are you saying that you somehow did get the £100? if not, then how do you know its wrong information?

The RAF page did say "Recommendations made before 6th April 2020 will be honoured."

So if you recommended a friend before the scheme closed (by requesting an email) and your friend went on to satisfy the terms of the offer (complete a switch within 90 days etc.) then you'd qualify.
