Hi
I’m hoping someone can help. 
My company have instructed the reps to use the Drivers note app for tracking the business fuel mileage. 
My question is that as my vehicle is a private one can they insist that I use the app firstly?
Secondly they want us to use the live tracking side of Drivers note and ideally to use the automatic logging ibeacon, again can they enforce this as it is a private vehicle?

Probably yes if you want to be paid for the mileage you are doing

Yes if you want to claim milage expenses.

Yes can’t turn it off. Can only state it’s personal mileage

Is your private car funded by the business as car allowance alternative to a company car?  If so, it is reasonable they treat car allowance users the same as company car users.

Enable the app, do your business mileage and then disable the app if your worried of it tracking your
private / personal journeys.

Why are you asking on the Motoring board rather than the Employment one?  It's an employment question.
