Anyone had this issue with Hikvision IDS-7204HUHI-K1/4S DVR?
Brand new unit and I have myself installed a 3TB WD purple HDD. I have connected via HDMI lead to my laptop and powerd up unit Beeps but nothing appears on screen no menu no image nothing.
Any advice please .Thank you.

The HDMI on a laptop is output, not an input. Connect the unit to a TV or computer monitor instead.
