DLA for child

Hi all,
having been struggling for several years now with some of her behaviour, our daughters schoolteacher has raised to us that she believes she has dyspraxia, ADHD and possible Dyslexia. This would explain a lot, and tbh we are glad that finally someone else has noticed it! She’s putting her forward for an assessment and advised us to also see our GP for a referral.

My question is: has anyone successfully received DLA for such conditions? To be honest she does need a lot more care than other children of her age, she Is 5 and very impulsive ( will break things in temper, run out into the road unexpectedly, literacy problems, tantrums, needs attention during the night as she is so active etc).
To be honest the money would be very helpful right now in order to afford to send her to a hobby that can help her conditions ( such as horse therapy), getting work done to divide a bedroom so she has her own space etc ( sharing with brother but she can be v.disruptive, gets up at silly o’clock!), replacement of broken tv’s etc!
Any help or thoughts welcome :-)

Yes, DLA can be received for these conditions.
The key to the form is demonstrating the additional care needs required to other children of the same age.

We receive Dla for two of our children. One diagnosed asd, one suspected (going through diagnosis now). Both need extra care and that is what the Dla is for. In our case we cannot access childcare due to issues with the youngest, so I had to reduce my working hours and change jobs.
It is a tough form to go through though.Debt free Feb 2021 🎉1 -
