it is likely that something that the OP has done is regarded as suspicious by HL and so they are looking into it. Hopefully they will find that there is nothing wrong and the OP can have his money back. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.1 -
Hi guardy751, did you get the money back? I m almost similar situation like you. I deposited the money to my ISA then decided to withdraw as the stocks are very high at the moment and i decided to put back in property. They doing verification checks for the last two weeks and they not saying what kind of checks they do.0

Hi Highgroup and Guardy751, were you able to get your withdrawal at the end? I have a similar problem. I have been transferring the shares in the company I work for (which I have been receiving as part of the corporate bonus scheme over the years) to my wife's ownership and she had been depositing them in her Hargreaves Lansdown account. We have 12 years worth of my bonus earnings paid in shares deposited this way. The company was just taken over and the shares were all sold into the takeover. My wife doesn't really trade much, but had bought and sold a few other companies share over time, but in her ISA account. These were all deposited and sitting (for years) in HL Fund & Share account. We are now trying to withdraw cash (cleared and available), and HL are just acting weird. They did send her £99,999 (she had to fight with customer services to get that), but then stopped sending any more money and stopped replying to her messages. She made repeated withdrawal requests by phone, messaging service and by sending a letter by recorded mail - had nothing but silence in return. We have written to HL CEO and Head of Legal but still noting, just being stonewalled. Is anyone else experiencing difficulty withdrawing their funds from HL? Surely this is not normal?0
