Oh good, maybe you can explain the game show percentage thing to me after tonight - you will know what I mean when you see it!

Oh yeah! I didn't get this either! How does it go from 1/3 to 2/3?
    Wouldn't it just go 50:50??
So does that mean on Deal or No Deal (godawful show!), they should always switch?

Edit: Have just looked it up - my brain hurts now

What happens is originally there is a 2/3 chance that there is a goat in the box he picked and only 1/3 chance that there is a car. That means that when the game show host opens the door with a goat, should you have originally picked a goat he would've had to have opened the door with the other goat in it. So, should you pick the swap, the chances of it being a car increase to 2/3 because the initial chances of getting a goat were 2/3. So to break it down there are 3 outcomes:

Player picks car, swaps and gets a goat.
Player picks goat A so host shows him goat B, he swaps and gets the car.
Player picks goat B so host shows him goat A, he swaps and gets the car.

Because 2 out of 3 of those outcomes involves him gaining a car it makes it a 2/3 chance if he swaps. Essentially, always pick the swap lol!

Blimey, I think I got it! But it only works because the host knows what's behind the doors and has to open a door with a goat behind. So, as you have a 2/3 chance of picking a goat in the first place, the host has now revealed the other goat, and by switching, you have a 2/3 chance of getting the car. Which also means that it would never work on Deal or No Deal as there are only two boxes and no one knows what's in the boxes. Gosh, I am so proud of myself.

Did anyone see 'In Bruges'? I saw it last night, really enjoyed it. At the beginning I thought it was going to be a long drawn out film but very dry wit. Slated Bruges though!!

I picked up my tickets earlier for Flashbacks of a Fool at Lee Valley. The boy on the ticket counter said there were loads left. Didn't stop him trying to fob me off with just one ticket though lol.

Saw In Bruges tonight. I think I'd give it 7/10.

I think the funniest bits were shown in the trailers, and they aren't as funny the 3rd or 4th time, but I did lol loads during this movie. The man in front of us has a brilliant laugh and that made me laugh even longer :)

It did seem a little slow in places, but when it finally got to the point, I thought it was great. I loved the last half hour or so. Good film and I'm glad I went out of my way a little to go and see it (it wasn't at my local).

Ooh and I won a free sausage and egg muffin at McDs :D That'll be my 2nd win so far.

SAW '21' tonight at the odeon at sheffield.
More people came in after the film had started than was already in.
I thought it was so boring I would give it a 2/10. I wanted to leave after the first 30mins.

Picked my tickets for 'Flashbacks of a fool' got two tickets no bother.
