The way I get to it (I don't get email notifications) is to click "Quick Links" (next to "Search" and "Log Out"), then "Subscribed Threads" - that shows the latest posts in threads I have participated in - for me that's the cinema ones and a couple others - for you it'll be more of course, but I think it'll be a useful navigational tool for you

the instant email alerts don't appear to be working again, i only got it working for one post yesterday

hurm at a guess I'd say the settings for a proportion of us MSEers had switched back to default. So I recommend going back through your board preferences to switch stuff back to the way you like it

but they haven't changed! it still down as 'instant' either the emails aren't being sent out to me or my email account is suddenly rejecting them

I'm having the same problem, I unsubscribed and subscribed again thinking it was going to solve the problem but I didn't received the post , although I received the chat on the non chat, know what I mean?

elski - would it be worth changing your email address for MSE to check if its just ur email address rejecting them or if its the site not sending u them? Ive been getting them all so no problems with receiving here

thanks but I've had this email address for many years....and the alerts have been working fine for months now.
Like marialionza I got the alert for the 'chat' that appeared on the codes thread will have to wait and see if it's working properply the next time a code is posted. Hopefully it was just a glitch and it's sorted now. :A
