Charges for work not done, done incorrectly

Had a major service, then 6 weeks later car sputtered and coughed. Called out the AA who said spark plugs needed replacing and a faulty oil pressure switch warning has been diagnosed. Booked car into another garage, who replace plugs and keep them for me to show old and dirty. Pressure switch replaced but still saying faulty o ly for them to then discover incorrect oil filter fitted and vert little oil in car. Even none added or has burned due to incorrect filter.  Original service was £205, work to rectify £207. Original garage say they did all work and insist nothing wrong and I must have an oil leak! They say CCTV footage on my car throughout service, shows they did everything right and no refund will be considered as say new garage living or me lieing as I MUST have an oil leak or been driving heavily. Oil tank almost empty after 6 weeks?! Can I take this to small claims court as theyve not sent me CCTV proof and I'm not convinced If they do have footage, it will clearly show what they did? I have original plugs and oil filter as new garage suggested I kept them to help this claim. What can I do?

Why didn't you take the car back to the original garage?

Years ago I had a similar experience so I parked, legally, by the garage with a big sign on the roof describing what the garage had not done.  The car disappeared overnight so I reported it stolen and then saw it at the back of the garage!  Eventually I got a new engine fitted for free!
