Aqua account on hold, dca letter

Can anyone advise me please.
I have recently had my aqua account placed on hold until March of next year . This has been confirmed in black and white via a letter. I am not required to make any payments until then.
So imagine my surprise when I recieved a letter from New Day debt recovery demanding payment.
I have tried searching out the info myself but can't get any certain answers, have New Day broken the law by persuing an on hlld account and have Aqua broken any laws by passing the details on to them ?

Thanks in advance

Assuming New Day haven’t brought the debt and are just asking for Aqua (aren’t they the same company?)

Contact Aqua on the phone or email - copy your letter in and complain

Aqua is the "brand name" for NewDay - they are one and the same in effect.

    As per above.

Credit is provided by NewDay Ltd. NewDay Ltd and NewDay Cards Ltd

Seems odd that all payments were suspended for 12 months. Are you sure that no payments were required?

What law would that be then ?
Your account is governed by the consumer credit act.
Aqua and Newday, as explained above, are one and the same, its just a simple error, Newday is a very large organisation, and mistakes do happen.
A quick email to customer services will remove your name from the arrears list, there letters are all computer generated, sometimes the computers don`t talk to each other, and no, before you ask, you cannot claim 6 million in compensation.

New Day are Aqua. Might just be a standard letter. I had an Aqua account that was put on hold several times and o had the same issue- I rang them and they said to ignore it as it was computer generated.
