Hi guys!
I'm hoping someone can help this tech-allergic poster please.
I've got three problems connected with my vista home basic pre-loaded pc and with my epson stylus DX5000.
Printing:
When I've created/copied a document and I print it out, after seeing print preview, the printed piece comes out in a tiny font size - even though it doesn't look that way on the screen or when I'm creating it.
I usually create docs in google docs & spreadsheets. When I'm creating a doc, I've also noticed that every 2nd line is slightly indented one space further in than the one above. I use the backspace to line it up with the previous line.
Any help with this would be deeply appreciated as DS is putting together his college portfolio and resume this week.
System Restore:
It doesn't matter what I've tried, the pc goes through all the motions of system restore but when it reboots, it always says System Restore was unsuccessful. It does seem to be turned on, but I've never been able to use it. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Scanner:
I am totally confused as to which program/setting to save my various text/image/text & image scans to as the destination. It asks me where to save them and a large menu drops & I'm just lost.
Again, I usually create docs in 'google docs & spreadsheets'. I really need to be able to send these scans as attachments via googlemail. Can anyone tell me the best settings to set for the doc type ext, (jpg, tif, bmp), and for the destination please?
As you can probably tell, I shouldn't be allowed near a computer when it comes to fixing problems. Very much a case of, 'I wonder what this does...'!:o
Many thanks for your time guys.
Much Love,
Tiff xxx

For pictures I would save them as jpg, it is a compressed format but is fine for most purposes and keeps the file sizes smaller. As to where to save them, I would save everything under 'My Dcouments', there should already be a folder there called 'My Pictures'. For the other docs you could just save them in 'My Documents' or create subfolders there for them.
No idea on the indentation or printed font size but you could try downloading openoffice (it's free) and using that instead and see if that resolves the issues. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
