Questionable Warranty Claim

Good Evening, this is my first time writing on a forum however I am in need of advice with regards to a warranty claim, this may be a long post.
I have a 17 plate vehicle (Warranty run out in Mach 2020). Due to Covid the vehicle could only go into the garage in May 2020 although I reported a fault when the vehicle was in the Warranty period. Vehicle went into garage and they honoured the warranty claim, mainly due to them being closed for three months!! APPARENTLY THE UCH was replaced in May 2020 - the fault was inoperative indicator and faulty central locking. With in a few weeks of collection I contacted the garage to advise that the fault was still there. I was advised that I would know have to pay for diagnosis and repairs even though the fault was still the same?. With this the RAC came to look at my vehicle and advised that it is a common fault and the manufacturer is aware and it would cost a pretty penny.
The garage agreed to diagnose the vehicle, and not surprisingly the vehicle UCH is the problem, they have offered (in there words as good will) to pay a 75% contribution. I have questioned why they are not covering the total invoice, to which they have advised that it is out of warranty and they offer a goodwill. The amount I am expected to pay is not a large amount BUT its frustrating that I don't believe they have repaired the vehicle in the first instance and It was out of my hands that they were closed for a time due to the pandemic.
My question on here is do I have any rights, am I able to pursue this further?

Since you reported the fault under warranty and they didn't fix it the warranty claim is ongoing.0
