I'm thinking of switching brokerage accounts, and would love to hear some personal recommendations on what works for trading UK and US stocks , based on the following criteria , please ?
- Normal & ISA accounts - commision/fee free preferably (but will consider fees, for exceptionally outstanding service).
- platform generally easy and straighforward to use ; with no ambiguities or questionable transactions by broker (one of the reasons why I'm looking to switch)
- Ease of funding & withdrawal
- Quality of Customer service
Many thanks !

Not going to recommend anything but perhaps just worth pointing out there is no such thing as a free lunch .
No company can survive without an income stream. and offer a good service long term .
14 months ago SVS securities a low/no cost broker went into administration .
You might want to read this thread with nearly 5K posts, most of them not very happy.

Yes partly agree on how companies surviving without a steady income stream - however the ones which do not charge any commisions apparently rely on upselling their CFDs/spread betting products as well as FX fees as income.Albermarle said:Not going to recommend anything but perhaps just worth pointing out there is no such thing as a free lunch .
