Eon annual review date
My eon contract ends on 13th October but they have told me my annual review is due on 12th November but I won't get it if I renew. Shouldn't the annual review be made available before the end date so you can make a fully informed decision about renewing/swittching?

Annual Review dates are usually based on the day you started your account - If you stay with the company longer than a year and change tariffs with them as any particular tariff expires, the Tariff End date may well be out of synch with your year anniversary.Of course they will not issue an Annual.Revue if you have ceased to be a customer, but frankly the 'Threat' of not getting one is an underhand ploy to keep you as customer.Eon prices are not exactly cheap and from the posts on this site, neither is their level of service - Take this opportunity to move elsewhere - Unless you are aware of significant changes in your energy consumption, using last years revue figures go onto the Citizen Advice web-site to find another supplier1

Hi,as you are near the end of your contract, you may find that Eon will switch you on to their standard tariff, which could be a bit more expensive, though if you are thinking of switching be careful not to get tied into an Eon contract with exit fees.1

Thanks for the replies. I want to switch but don't want a smart meter and unfortunately MSE's Energy Saving Club is giving incorrect info as to which tariffs do/don't require one. Compare the Market keeps kicking me out! Also Eon's website is down so I can't check anything on there and they have no customer service on a Sunday
I know I've left it late to sort out but I hate doing it!

Never found annual review much use in swapping suppliers .I base all swaps on actual prices .

Use Citizens Advice or Switch With Which for a comparison. I'm not aware of any of the competitive tariffs requiring a smart meter.2

I wanted the annual review info to see all the usage for the tariff duration in one place, just for my info. Used bills instead but hard to find a good supplier (I'd prefer a more well known one) that doesn't require a smart meter.Petriix said:Use Citizens Advice or Switch With Which for a comparison.
