Siemens RDJ1ORF

I have a Siemens RDJ1ORF thermostat and it is not connecting with the main part. The light is flashing red,is there anything I can try before I have to save up and buy another please.

Obvious question/suggestion first ... is it a battery powered device and have you tried replacing them?

As above, check the batteries. Is it fixed to the wall, can you take it nearer to the transmitter to double-check?

If after doing all the above and it still doesn't work it might be worth following the instructions (manual is online) to pair thermostat and transmitter.

I've got one of those. It regularly loses connection.  The battery contacts are rubbish and then it needs re-programming too as it 'forgets' everything.

I keep having to find the printout of the manual to fix the comms issue.  Only did that a few days ago!

Press the <Learn> button on the rear of the display/control unit (with a small screwdriver or biro) to get it back.  It needs removal of it from the wall/table stand mounting plate to do that.  Then pressing the <Test> button above the <Learn> button should switch on (press again for off) the device it controls (e.g boiler or in my case an electric towel rail) - you'll hear the relay click on/off if by the receiver.

If that fails it may need more reference to the manual (leaflet).
