Playing Xbox 360 Upstairs When Console is Downstairs

Would really appreciate some help from all you nice techie folk please. :D

OH has an Xbox 360 which he loves and we have it connected to our downstairs television which means he doesn't get to play it that much as he might like.

The other day I asked him if he could give me an idea of some things he would like for Christmas and he mentioned that he wouldn't mind a gizmo that would let him play the Xbox on the television in our bedroom, which sounded like a good idea. I told him just to buy it and not have it as a Christmas present but I know he won't get round to it so I want to buy it for him but I don't know what it is or what it's called. Can anyone advise me?

I'd really appreciate any help you could give me.

Thanks in advance.

To be honest, I dont know! The only thing I can think of is a huge cable!! But that wouldn't be practical. Maybe he is suggestion a new television for upstairs?!!! :D

You could be right and he is dropping hints for a huuuuuuuuuuge plasma. :D

He is a techie himself though so he does tend to know what he's talking about, it's just difficult trying to decipher what he is saying half the time. ;)

You can get video senders but the problem comes with the controllers for the xbox 360 I wouldn't like to say if they will reach the console downstairs.

My suggestion would be to buy an extra set of cables and power adaptor that will allow you to just move the console up and downstairs leaving the power pack connected to the mains and the video cable connected to the TV.

Don't forget Microsoft will send replacements for parts if you phone them up and report your items as going faulty like controllers and power adaptors ;) Im not sure how the cable could become faulty.
  • I have a lead that can use to plug my 360 in to my PC monitor but I still have to move the 360 from one place to another which is a bit of a pain, damn cables. Doesn't answer the question does it?
Nothing to see here, move along.
