Travelling to Kos - PLF Form - URGENT HELP

Second Anniversary

Hello
We are flying to Kos tomorrow (8th) afternoon (arriving at around 9pm) using Easyjet.
My husband completed the PLF form around a week and a half ago, however including only him and myself, without details of our two year old daughter, as there was no clear option to add another household member.  He received a confirmation email as well as the QR code.
We have only this evening looked into this closely and realised that the requirement is actually to have all of us on the form- however when we tried to complete a new form, the only available arrival date on the form is now the 9th, which is a day after we arrive- we have received a confirmation email however no QR code- this will arrive probably after we arrive in Greece (if we are even allowed to board?)
We are now a bit anxious thinking that this mistake will cost us our holiday- we have spoken to Easyjet however we haven't received much help.
Has anyone experienced anything like this recently? Will the fact we have a QR showing two passengers from the same household and a confirmation email for the same passengers (however including a two year old) but for the following day, or actually around 3 hours we land in Greece suffice??
We are quite concern, any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks!

Oh heck. Too late to do anything about it.  Prepare for best and expect the worst!  Sorry not wishing to alarm you but I read somewhere of a family being denied boarding as they omitted children (got flight next day).   Easyjet will not be able to help as it is the Greek Government who require this and they will follow instructions.  Go to airport anyway because you will need to be there.

Fingers crossed for you. Feel your pain.  Let us know if you can.

    FCO information here - https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/greece/entry-requirements
"Every traveller, including children, must have their details included on a Passenger Locator Form (PLF)."
"You must complete an online Passenger Locator Form (PLF) at least 24 hours before your arrival in Greece. Failure to do so in advance may result in your carrier not allowing you to travel, a 500 Euro fine on arrival or the Greek authorities not allowing you to enter the country"
It is unlikely that anyone here will be able to guess what he result will be with your daughter not being included on a PLF form
  • Our neighbours did exactly this, missed off their daughter. They were denied boarding. You almost certainly will be as well. They had to fly out the next day at their own expense from an airport about 200 miles away (Liverpool instead of Glasgow) and lost a day of their holiday. They also had to plea with the hotel to keep their reservation as well due to checking in over 24hrs late.

I’d suggest you start looking for alternative flights tomorrow.

To make things worse for my neighbours, the second airline and Greek arrivals never checked for the forms on their second flight.

In case anyone with similar queries looks at this thread one thing to bear in mind is the Greek day starts at 10pm UK time and that's when they send out all QR codes for passengers arriving that day.  This means if you haven't filled out the form by 10pm the day before you intend to arrive then you won't get the QR code.

Another thing to note is if you have a flight which departs before midnight Greek time and arrives after then the QR code will become available while you are travelling and the airline should accept the email confirmation without a QR code and then you'll have to connect to mobile data or airport wifi on arrival to obtain your QR code.

Although beware if you arrive in Greece without having filled in the PLR then you are breaking the law and could be fined.  It sounds a bit like travel between Schengen Zone countries under normal circumstances, you might be able to do a day trip to Austria from Munich even if you leave your passport in the hotel in Germany (as there may be no checks) but if you are asked to produce your passport in Austria and you say it's at the hotel in Germany then you're in trouble!
  • Well Bananan1 will either be on her way to Cos or stuck in an airport somewhere.  Hope it is the former.   But please do let us know B
