hi rog
thanks for words of wisdom, i am scared about it, i'd be lying if i said i wasn't. i have had massive support from you all and the local debt advice and it is appreciated. i think my fear is mainly aimed at the OR, was is he going to ask ect. i know once its over i will feel better. but it's the unknown at present...
tc - there are many threads, on this forum, telling of individual experience with the OR meeting - both telephone interviews and face-to-face interviews.
Whilst some people have experienced the odd 'OR from Hell', and lots of OR decisions have been, to say the least, questionable, yet again the overwhelming majority of us have found their OR interview totally non-judgemental and un-daunting.
We will be able to pass on our own experiences if there is any aspect of the OR interview with which you are not happy - that's what we're here for - just ask.
Try and have a relaxing weekend.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

And good luck to you, as well, devonsdreamer - I expect you will, also, be posting on Monday/Tuesday to say how much better you will be feeling.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. Good luck to both of you on Monday , you will be feeling :j after it is all over. 99.9% of all BR people are not doing it for "fun" sure there are one or two bad apples, but they would not be as worried as we have all been.
7 Years of worry seems to be a common background to a lot of us , and once it is over you will feel a great sense of relief :j Not because you have pulled one over on the "system" but because you have your own life back and can plan for the future with a new outlook, hopefully a lot stronger and more focussed on the important things in life, health, family, love etc etc
And to all of you going BR just now, just think what a great Christmas present it will be to yourselves in one year when you are discharged
if not sooner of course. 0 -

Best wishes for Monday. You really do deserve this break. You and the girls are entitled to a decent life rather than th struggle you have had in recent years.
Will be thinking of you.
In the mean-time have a good weekend.

went through my on tues this week everything was fine until the sent in a solicitor acting on their behalf whom had every record of phone conversations and my stupid promises to pay silly amounts off i developed a stammer due to the lady judge making judge judy look like a 4yr old in a secondary schools playground , yep i admit it lack of info not enough self esteem etc etc but on the brighter side my hearing was at 11:15 and iwas undischarged bankrupt at 11:25 i walked out of the court and called their solicitor a pr--k under my breath but it came out quite loud so i didnt look back incase judy had me for contempt so its all over for now recieved the letter from the insolvency today for my appointment on the 21st iam sure you will be ok when i got home i had one of them phone calls we dont like to answer but idid ,i told them their tone changed immiediately it was great so brunt the ten minutes and think about the future0

tcalamity,
Withjout being flippant IT WILL BE EASY compared to the stress before! The split second you are BR-you have no debts!! &...the OR'S office deal with it-NOT YOU! If you drink...make sure you have a chilled bottle of voddy in the fridge for after-new life starts on 10 December!0 -
ok thanks for that... had help filling in forms today, may even get help on the court fees.. but who knows. all this is quite hard on my partner as he didn't know about it until few weeks back when it came blurting out. so i hope my family, partner and me can get back on track.....:j0

There is no doubt that it will test the strength of your relationship, tc, but it is my bet that it will be all the stronger for your experience. You really will have the opportunity to put 'debt', and all its consequences, behind you.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser.
