I picked up my car yesterday after an M. O. T only to find this morning the indicators are silent when in use. There is normally a beeping/warning noise when the car door is opened but keys are left in the ignition but that noise is now  intermittent and crackling. Is it likely the garage has caused the fault? They seemed a bit dismissive when I spoke with them.

    Doubtful, probably just coincidence.

The indicators are often silent on our Fiat 500, often switching off and back on again resolves it.  Luckily this has never happened during an MOT yet!

    Dear OP
Sorry to hear about your woes.
most likely a coincidence and it happen to us on a Vauxhall SRI about 25/27 years ago the car was practially new had electric everything and then the indicators stopped making a nosie it was a small, cheap mudel that cost a few quid - i recall going into vauxhall the ar was barely 14 months old told reception at service desk and it was a common fault they said at the time.
