Green Homes Grant Help
Hi all,
I'm a relatively new homeowner (03/20) and don't have a huge amount of knowledge around home developments. I'm looking in to the funding available through the gren homes grant. The website states that my homes energy efficiency rating is E, which surprised me. I want to make an upgrade or two through the scheme if possible. I'm eligible and when completing the initial questions I get a range of possible options/measures that I could install from cavity wall insulation to floor insulation to new heating controls.
My issues are 1) I don't know what insulation, for example, I currently have; 2) what measures would have the greatest benefit on our homes energy efficiency performance and therefore what to prioritise and whether there are dependencies between measures that could impact the actual benefit realisd e.g. without doing one thing you won't get the benefit of the other thing.
So I'm a bit lost as to where to go now. I think its probably that cavity wall insulation is the best option as our home was built in 1930, so think getting a suitable company out to advise is the next step.
Any advice, comments or direction welcome.

If you can get hold of a copy of the EPC from the register, it may give some advice on what energy efficiency measures can be made to your home:

Great thanks. I managed to source the certificate and now know what I have and don't have and what is recommended. Cavity wall insulation is the recommended priority with the greatest benefit so I'll explore that option.

Green Homes Scheme Voucher. Has anyone who applied received the Vouchers yet? or even an email confirmation your applications has been processed? I heard nothing so far.0
