VW Nextbase 222 dashcam

Hi all,
My local VW franchise have sent an email saying they can fit a Nextbase 222 dashcam and go pack
Does anyone have any experience of these dashcams?
My car is due a service so was thinking of having one fitted. It's a PCP Tiguan and I'm not sure whether I'm keeping it or swapping at the end of the term.
I'm assuming as it will be dealer fitted it causes no problems on return
Cheers

The cable just tucks into the gaps around the edge of the trim, anyway, so removal is the work of minutes. It certainly doesn't involve any dismantling. Let's put it this way... Halfords charge £35 to fit one, so I hope the dealer isn't charging a fortune...1 -
I've just fitted the Nextbase 222x front & rear dashcam in my wife's car, and am really pleased with it. I've had a similar Nextbase dashcam in my car for 15 months without any issues.
Mine was fitted by the dealer, but I just fitted my wife's one myself - it is just fitted into the power socket, but I've concealed the cabling all the way around. Only took me about 15 minutes, and means that I can easily take it out if we sell the car at any point.1 -
Nextbase are generally well reviewed and I fitted to both my wife's car and mine. That was on recommendation from my brother-in-law, who has a Nextbase in his car, his wife's car and his son's car.1

Thanks for comments
It seems pretty decent from the online reviews and I like the magnetic click in/out. The 222 seems like then base model of the Nextbase series 2 so I am probably missing a lot of fancy features the 322/422/522/622 have.
VW are charging £145 all in. The unit itself is £70 so I think for a main dealer it's not so bad. I just prefer it to be done at the main dealer as the car is a year old and I just feel easier if I'm handing it back in a few years
I recall when my wife bought her Q2 Audi were doing a similar thing but for front and rear were charging absolutely hundreds upon hundreds for it, hence I thought the £145 seemed a reasonable amount (although more expensive than DIY or cheaper places)0 -
I have just started using the 522GW unit after previously having a Mio Mivue 618 and the wife a 698.
I am extremely disappointed in the quality. The images are grainy as hell both on 1440 30fps and 1080 60fps. Something can't be right as I've seen very clear Nextbase images online but mine are most certainly not. I don't know if my windscreen has some unknown coating on it or what but the quality is just terrible.1 -

I agree the videos online seem sound as do the reviews.
Hopefully if it is that poor the dealer would agree to remove it... Maybe0 -

Also noticed many of my recordings ramdoly became protected after I first thought they were missing. Looks like I'll need to tweak some sensitivity setting.1 -
"If the car has airbags in the pillars, then the trim should come off and the cables routed behind the airbag."Or, depending on vehicle, may be tucked in at the top of the A pillar trim which avoids the airbag completely.1
